Monique's love of quilting was encouraged by relatives who taught her the art of handwork and sewing. Before beginning her quilt design business, Open Gate, Monique was an instructor at her local quilt shop for 15 years. These days, she teaches across the United States at quilt guilds and weekend retreats. Monique has designed six quilting rulers, more than 90 Open Gate patterns and written three books with C&T Publishing: Fat Quarter Winners, Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts and Diamond Traditions.
