Whether you are watching your spending, or you appreciate reducing consumption, make the most of your yarn stash with this instructional class from crochet designer Brenda K. B. Anderson. Learn how to use your scraps to create 3 beautiful and practical projects while Brenda shares multiple strategies for combining colors so that your little leftover bits of yarn look like they belong together. This is a game changer! These techniques will elevate your projects from looking like they were made from random leftover bits of yarn thrown together, to looking like they were intentionally made with lots of colors that all play nicely together!

To help us practice these strategies, Brenda designed a total of three exclusive crochet projects for this class: The Magic Scrap Beanie Recipe, the Stashdown Cowl, and The Chevron Pillow.
The beanie recipe shows us three different methods for making yarn scraps into a magic ball of yarn. Brenda discusses 3 different color strategies for combining colors- and shows us examples of how each of these methods change the look of the project. After the yarn is prepped, she teaches us how to crochet a simple, but very polished looking beanie out of any yarn weight to fit any size head, no pattern needed!

The Cowl is a great example of how certain stitch patterns can make it easier to successfully combine colors- even if they don’t seem like they would look good together at first. Brenda shows her “Harmony Method” for determining how to combine colors from your scrappy stash. This method helps to blend colors together for a harmonious result. This project is easy to customize and Brenda explains us how to change the simple pattern to accommodate for a different size or look.

The Chevron Pillow is a demonstration of how scrappy projects can look expensive and polished! Brenda shows you how to thoughtfully combine colors with ease and have them look like they were specifically curated to go together in this showstopper home décor accent piece! This deceptively simple project will convince you to save every little scrap- just so you can make this again and again. This project is worth so much more than the sum of its scraps!

Scrappy projects sometimes mean lots and lots of ends to weave in. With this in mind, Brenda has carefully designed these three projects to minimize the number of ending tails- so that you can focus on the crocheting!

With over 4 hours of clear video instruction and access to three exclusive crochet patterns designed just for this class, you will be making projects that combine the best of both worlds: crochet pieces that are functional as well as gorgeous, and low-cost (or often times no cost) materials!
