Adding Wildlife Into Your Shot

Layne Kennedy
Duration:   4  mins

In this session, Layne shares creative ideas for incorporating elements of wildlife into a shot, using a pair of found shed antlers as his creative muse.

Beautiful wilderness scenes can be even better if you can bring wildlife into your shot. You may not be able to convince an animal to pose in a certain spot of your perfect scene, but there are other ways to incorporate wildlife. Photographer Layne Kennedy uses a discovered pair of shed moose antlers to frame a pair of canoers riding past, creating a clever, compelling shot.

Layne also notes since he is working with the canoers, he can ask them to hold a paddle a certain way or time a movement.
