Description

What It Is

This 30-minute HIIT ab workout is High Intensity Interval Training. It uses short, intense bursts of movement that will increase your heart rate while boosting your calorie burn like no other workout you’ve tried. This 30-minute HIIT ab workout is core-body focused, allowing you to strengthen and tone your entire core body, encompassing both your back and abs.

HIIT workouts are just that–high intensity–but with enough time and practice, everyone can reap the benefits. Chris will provide plenty of encouragement and give modifications as needed so that you can start seeing results no matter your current fitness level.

The Moves

This 30-minute HIIT ab workout is made up of Tabata-style intervals which consist of 20 seconds of all-out effort followed by 10 seconds of active recovery for eight cycles in a row, totaling four minutes. We’ll do five Tabata intervals in total with 45 seconds in-between each interval—just enough time to catch your breath and go again. You’ll need a few sets of dumbbells and a mat for this workout.

Our dynamic 30-minute HIIT ab workout includes athletic drills and sculpting exercises such as full-body roll-ups, a variety of planks, and oblique side crunches. These power moves will bring your heart rate into your anaerobic zone. When your heart rate is in this zone, you will achieve a higher calorie burn in a shorter amount of time.

Why HIIT?

It’s been proven that high intensity workouts like this 30-minute HIIT ab workout can do more for your health in a shorter amount of time than your traditional, longer workouts. This workout will help you reduce your risk of metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, and obesity, while torching calories and helping you look and feel stronger than ever.

Incorporating both cardio and strength, this 30-minute HIIT ab workout will get your heart rate elevated, your muscles working, and calories burning!

All exercises you perform are your own responsibility and you perform them at your own risk. Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified health provider before starting any physical exercise, fitness or wellness regiments of any kind.
