Ballet Body Warm-Up

Jennifer will provide modifications for certain movements and plenty of instruction, describing exactly how to perform each exercise. You’ll start this ballet warm-up by stretching out your side body and working your obliques before moving on to shoulder rolls. Next, you’ll wake up those legs with a plié series, letting your back heel pop up so you can turn your hips and incorporate a nice stretch. You’ll warm up different muscles in your feet which is especially important to wake up before doing other ballet workouts.
You’ll do plenty of plies in this ballet warm-up, including traveling pliés, which will get your heart pumping. The great thing about ballet is that it incorporates isolated movements and aerobic activity, sculpting lean and beautiful muscles while burning calories. You’ll learn a plié series that will burn out that lower body while also engaging your arms and core as well.
Jennifer will provide specific instruction for each move, making you feel like you have a private instructor right in your living room. You don’t need any dance training to do the workouts in the Ballet Body program, including this invigorating ballet warm-up.
