In the boat, Doug sets up his camera and tripod, the sun behind him. He explains the need for a long telephoto lens and the 1/2500th shutter speed to hold focus on the birds in flight. Doug shoots the Osprey with a motor drive at 10 frames per second. “You have to shoot a lot to get a little,” he explains.
