Want to learn crochet basics? Try this easy and adorable crochet bookmark. While it is worked with a small hook and thin yarn, itā€™s actually easier than you might think. A small number of chain stitches are created, and the bookmark is then worked using single crochet stitches. With this pattern you will learn the very basics of crochet and have a great foundation to go forward and try other projects and stitches.

The class begins with an introduction to the project and a review of the supplies you will need to complete your bookmark. In subsequent sessions, your instructor, Jen Lucas, will walk you through each step of the project. Once the stitching is complete, the class wraps up with Jen showing you how to stiffen the bookmark using a water and glue mixture. Once the bookmark has dried, youā€™ll be ready to not only use it for your next read, but you will also have built some great crochet skills to take with you into your next project.
